So I have a secret to share. (nope, not preggo) This secret is way different than that. This secret is new, and hopefully fun, but definitely a new thing for me.

Here goes….deep breaths….

I wrote an e-book.

Eek!!!! I am SO EXCITED! This is something that I have been working on for a couple of months and It’s finally done!

The book is a Fall/Winter Lookbook. A lookbook basically means it has a ton of pictures of 6 different outfit concepts that I thought others might enjoy putting together themselves. Things like capes and fur and oxfords to boots! All kinds of fun Winter fashion! In fact, all of the pictures in this post are sneak peaks from the book!

Crazy, right!? It should be ready soon as it’s with the graphic designer right now. I realize it’s coming out WAY a little late in the season. That has alot to do with alot of things and none of which are terribly interesting but I hope that you will still think it’s helpful! I know for us Georgia girls it was 75 degrees today so I think that is still very much Fall weather. I think you’ll still totally dig the outfits!

Here’s how it will work. The book will be around 15 pages or so and will be available for downloading. It will cost $5 to purchase and you can pay for it through PayPal. All of this will be set up on the blog in the coming days. Of that $5, 20% or basically $1, of every purchase will go directly to As Our Own. When I told you that I loved this organization, I really love it and believe in the Christ centered work they are doing. This will be a small way that you too can support them. Every little bit helps and why not get some outfit ideas while you are at it, right!?

So here’s the other crazy part about it all. I am actually the model in all the photos. I KNOW. Weird, huh!? Before we go any further with you thinking that this this is the ‘Lanie Beth Show’ let me tell you why it’s me in the pictures and not a hired model.

This is my first ever project like this…you think I have money to pay a model?
Just kidding, but really, here’s the truth: I think I am pretty average looking. I think I’m pretty but not gorgeous, a good size (size 6 to be exact) but not rail thin, and I hope that I represent normal girls a little better than some gorgeous size 0 supermodel. Pretty simple, really. I am a SAHM that just likes to look cute when I go out and loves trying new trends but doesn’t have a unlimited bank account. I hope you get that vibe from the book as well!
And most importantly: These are all of my clothes. Every last item. Some are new and some are old but they are all mine. Now if I used a model I would need to buy all of those clothes to fit her body. And that’s a real bummer to buy clothes for someone else!

For each of the 6 outfits there is a lengthy description about why the outfit works, the outfit details including links to the actual stores to buy your own item (or a similar one), as well as an LB Tip that gives a little helpful advice for when you are trying out that specific trend for yourself. All in all it was a blast to write and I hope that it reads that way. Thanks for your generosity!
